China-Jersey Business Forum
Published time: 2015-06-09

The first China-Jersey Business Forum, jointly organized by China Enterprises Association in Britain and the Government of Jersey took place on 28th of April, 2015 at China Construction Bank’s London office. More than 70 delegations from both jurisdictions, including high-level governmental officials and business leaders, came together for in-depth discussions on financial services, tourism and food industries.

This forum was the first major event held at the CCBL’s new office since the Bank moved to the in the City of London. This forum was initiated to lay the foundations for successful engagements going forward between Jersey and China.

CCB London’s CEO Feng Xilai, gave a warm welcome to his guests and gave a brief introduction on the development of CCB London.  The Ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in the UK and the Jersey governmental officials gave a presentation on the potential future growth prospects of the relationship between Jersey and China. The attendees were then given a chance to individually discuss future business within their sectors.

By hosting this event, CCB London established an excellent reputation with the Chinese Embassy in the UK and Jersey government as well as the industry leaders who attended the event. We think that this extensive influential network will help build further business prospects for CCBL.

This was the first opportunity for CCB London’s senior management to present their future development plans to Mr. Liu Xiaoming, Ambassador of Chinese Embassy in the UK. The Ambassador showed great gratitude to the achievements and developments of CCBL and was supportive of our future vision. The event was a great success and the Bank’s praise was well received from the attendees. The Chinese embassy in UK and the Chinese Daily reported on the forum.
